"Island" - 12" x 19". Hand-dyed cotton, hand-dyed recycled paper towel, dry cleaner bag, crocheted commercial yarn, metal washers and wire, glass beads, recycled cotton fibers, tulle. Machine appliquéd and quilted, hand beaded and embellished.                                                                                                                                                   
This little quilt came about when I noticed the beautiful colors on a paper towel I was using to mop up spills while I dyed fabric. The fabric became the base and the dyed paper towel became the central element of the quilt. I added bits of dry cleaner bag and loose fibers and used tulle to hold it all in place.
